Lancelmaat: Stalkshow

Lancelmaat creates "meeting places" in public spaces. In these "meeting places" they use a combination of online and offline media, such as mobile control and communication devices and networks like internet, mobile phone, RFID; newspaper, billboards, live-tv, video- and urban screens; locative media. Lancel and Maat invite their audience to experiment and play, in both, social and technological based network performances and installations. The audience is to reflect on their perception of identity, community and alienation, fear and desire for the other,  forms of social cohesion. It is a form of research on social systems in a mediated networked society: the "meeting places" show a contemporary form of creating portraits - social portraits of urban mediated life.
