Sandberg Institute
The Sandberg Instituut is the master program of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy.
The Sandberg Institute was established in 1990 by former Rietveld director Simon den Hartog (and named after Willem Sandberg, former director of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam). Its original concern was with the organization of post-academic activities such as seminars and exhibitions. In 1995, it became the master program of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, offering master programmes in Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Design and Interior Architecture and, since 2011, Vacant NL.
