Ad van Buuren makes sound installations. In his installations sound are composed by change in order to generate sets of unpredictable rhythms and sound combinations. Instead of computers and chips, he uses visible electronic components and 'anything that produces sound / noise' such as a van, reed, or bells.

He was part of several exhibitions held at V2, such as the 3Dimension Expo (1985).
