Ágnes Hegedûs is a multimedia/video artist who develops interactive installations to give insight into fundamental aspects of perception and concepts of virtual reality.

She studied Photography and Video Art at the Budapest Academy of Applied Arts from 1986 to 1988. After that she continued to study at the Minerva Academy in Groningen, the AKI in Enschede and the Institute of New Media at the Städelschule in Frankfurt/Main. In 1992 she was an artist-in-residence at the ZKM Institute for Visual Media in Karlsruhe.
