Bart Chabot made his debut as a poet in 1981 with 'Popcorn'. In 1989 Chabot, Remco Campert and Jan Mulder held their first theater performance. In 1998 he began a theater tour with Herman Brood en Jules Deelder and from 2005 to 2008 he toured with Martin Bril and Ronald Giphart. Chabot had his literary breakthrough with his fourfold biography of Herman Brood.

Chabot presented a work at 3Dimension Expo organized by V2 in 1985.
