Bart Lootsma is an architectural historian, critic and curator. He took his degree in Architectural History and Theory from the Eindhoven University of Architecture with a reconstruction of the Poème Electronique, the Philips Pavilion at the 1958 Brussels World Fair, designed by Le Corbusier, Xenakis and Varèse. He was an editor of de Architect and of Forum, assistant professor at the Meisterklasse für Visuelle Gestaltung at the Hochschule für Künstlerische und Industrielle Gestaltung in Linz (Austria), and head of the Department of 3D-design at the Academy of Arts in Arnhem (The Netherlands). Bart Lootsma is a member of the department of architecture of the Rotterdam Arts Council and commissioner for architecture of the exhibition Technological Visions for the Kunsthalle in Vienna. He has published numerous articles on architecture, design and the visual arts.
