Derek Holzer is a sound and radio artist from the United States, and is currently based in the Netherlands. As founder of the Czech internet broadcasting project Radio Jeleni, Holzer delivered news coverage directly from the streets of Prague during the September, 2000 protests against the IMF & the World Bank, and has worked with Independent Media Centers across Europe and North America. His most recent project is the Acoustic.Space.Lab, which, in conjunction with the RIXC new media lab in Riga, Latvia, seeks to gather sound artists and activists to more fully explore the possibilities radio and the internet have to offer.
