Doon MacDonald
Doon MacDonald (UK) is a musician-researcher and PhD-candidate in media arts technology.
Doon MacDonald studied film and studio composition at the University of Sussex. For her MA, she developed 3.3 - an interactive soundtrack for film that could be 'played' by the audience. Before, Doon performed, wrote songs, and gave music classes for adults with learning difficulties.
Currently, a PhD Candidate at Queen Mary, University of London, she is interested in making the process of composing more transparent. During her six-months research-in-residency at V2_, she analyzed, tested and improved SPASM (Spatial Audio Mixer) to illustrate the concept of spatial audio composition through an artwork or project she will implement.
