George Dyson (1953), a historian among futurists, has been excavating the history and prehistory of the digital revolution going back 300 years. He is the author of Baidarka: The Kayak (1986); Darwin Among the Machines: The Evolution of Global Intelligence (1997) - which argues that the internet is a living, sentient being; and Project Orion: The Atomic Spaceship 1957-1965 (2002). With V2_, he published On the Loose in Information is Alive.
