Herman Asselberghs is a Belgian artist who focuses on interrogating the border areas between sound and image, world and media, poetry and politics. His video works have been shown at events including M_HKA in Antwerp, the International Film Festival Rotterdam and Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin. He won the Transmediale Award in 2007 for his video Proof of Life (2006). Herman Asselberghs teaches in the film department of Sint-Lukas Brussels University College of Art and Design and is a founding member of the Brussels production platform Auguste Orts. He lives and works in Brussels.
