Johannes Birringer (DE/US) is an artist and choreographer.

Johannes Birringer is an independent choreographer and media artist. Since 1993 he is artistic director of AlienNation Co., an ensemble whose works have been shown in Europe, North America and Latin America. His film installation Vespucci recently toured Brazil. Since 1999 he leads the dance and technology program at Ohio State University and the Environments Lab. He is a founding member of ADaPT, a collective which conducts research in telepresence.
