Lucas Verweij

Verweij is guest professor at Kunsthochschule Weiβensee and an initiator of public events in the field of architecture, design and innovation in both the Netherlands and Germany. In Berlin, he founded StadtAcker, a design platform and laboratory. He is curator, debates and lectures at the biannual event The Hague Design and Government and writes for architectural magazine Archined.

After eight years working at the design agency Schie 2.0, which he co-founded, Verweij helped building Premsela, Dutch Platform for Design and Fashion. In 2005, he became dean of the Academy for Architecture and Urban Design in Rotterdam. He now lives in Berlin.
