Masaki Fujihata (JP) is one of the pioneers of Japanese new media art.

Masaki Fujihata, born in Tokyo in 1956, lives and works in Kanagawa. He studied at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music from 1975 to 1981. He is a professor at the Faculty of Environmental Information, Keio University, Kanagawa. In 1995 he curated the exhibition The Future of the Book of the Future, and he has published numerous books. In 1998 Fujihata is artist-in-residence at the ZKM-Institute for Visual Media. His interactive installation Beyond Pages is part of the collection of the ZKM-Media Museum.
