Mathijs van Oosterhoudt (NL) is an artist and audiovisual designer.

Mathijs studies audiovisual design at the Willem de Kooning Academy. His work focuses on interactive and generative media involving the audience, with the occasional documentary. The work is often created by a question like What if?, trying to create work that can generate things on it's own not even the creator could have imagined, or simply by the fact something does not exist, yet should.
As part of his graduation he is at V2_ as an intern, working on reviving and exporting SPASM, V2_'s two year old Spatial Audio Mixer, to Ableton Live. This would make it possible to create live compositions in space, opening a whole new way to think about music and the role of the listener. Next to that it will allow sound to have behavior or intelligence, following a listener or doing the exact opposite.
