McKenzie Wark (AUS/US) is a writer who lives and works in New York.

McKenzie Wark grew up and studied in Australia, at Macquarie University, the University of Technology, Sydney and at the Murdoch University. In 2000, he emigrated to the US.

He is Associate Professor of Media and Cultural Studies at Eugene Lang College and of Sociology at the New School for Social Research, and his main subjects are media theory, critical theory and new media.

He is the author of several books, written using experimental writing techniques, such as in "Dispositions" (2002), where he traveled the world with a GPS device and recorded observations at particular times and coordinates. His most recent publication are the notorious "A Hacker Manifesto" (2004) and "Gamer Theory" (2007).
