Michael Hardt is Assistant Professor of Literature (Ph.D., Washington, 1990). He is author of Gilles Deleuze: An Apprenticeship in Philosophy (1993) and co-author with Antonio Negri of Labor of Dionysus: A Critique of the State-form (1994). Hardt is also co-editor with Paolo Virno of Radical Thought in Italy (1996). He is interested in modernism and realism in 20th-century literature and participated in the Lavoro Immateriale project by Knowbotic Research and contributed a text entitled Affective Labour.
