Nicola Anatol Baginsky worked as a theatrical set designer and an interior designer, before he founded the artists' group Humunculus Project and the performance group Coax in 1987. He was a guest professor at the Hochschule für Künste, Bremen (Germany), at ZKM, Karlsruhe (Germany) and at the Muthesius Hochschule, Kiel. Baginsky is living and working in Hamburg.
