Peter Werkhoven has a PhD in Physics from the University of Utrecht where he specialized in image processing and human visual motion perception. Later he led the Virtual Reality, Human/Machine Interface and Mediated Communications group at TNO and is currently director of TNO Multimedia and Telecommunications (NL) and Professor for Multimedia Interaction at the University of Amsterdam (NL).
