Remco Schuurbiers studied Photographic Design at the Royal Acadamy of Fine Arts and Image and Sound at the Royal Conservatorium, The Hague. Remco Schuurbiers works on the borders of digital video and audio thus making abstract compositions, installations or performances (e.g. Sonar 1999, Club Transmediale 2001). In projects he works with musicians in the field of Contemporary Electronic Music producing composed or improvised audiovisual performances. Most recently he has two main projects, the first together with the dutch composer Huib Emmer (Loos-Ensemble) and the second ?Syntax Error together with dutch audio artist Scaletti (Raoul de Vries). In addition he appears as VJ and DJ, does Videoclips for several artist and labels like Bunker Records, HotmixRecords, Phako, I-f, Gorefest and works as a curator among others for Club Transmediale 2001 and Sonic Acts 2001 Festival in Paradiso, Amsterdam.
Remco Schuurbiers lives and works in The Haque and Berlin.
