Saul Albert is a researcher at Queen Mary University, London on the Media and Arts Technology Programme.

Saul is interested in infrastructures for participatory culture, technology and governance. His research focus has been on how to use games, performance, technology and entertainment as the basis for widely accessible engagement in 'serious' participatory processes.

Working as an artist and entrepreneur, and collaborating with many groups and organisations, he has built software, designed event formats, run public performances and set up organisations that have become vehicles for people's creativity.

In 2006 he co-founded The People Speak with artist Mikey Weinkove, a participatory public art, media and technology collective that works internationally developing participatory 'tools for the world to take over itself' in civic life, healthcare, entertainment and education.
