Sei Matsumura  is a laptop music performer and interactive sound installation artist. He has studied Sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and is did a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Information Studies at Tokyo University, Japan.

His interests are to create imaginary doped soundscapes by restructuring concrete sounds and micro-sounds in minimal sequences. He has performed live widely in Europe and his artworks have been exhibited internationally. Matsumura is Assistant Professor at the Art Media Center Tokyo University of the Arts.
