Stéphane Claude is an electroacoustic sound artist, audio mastering engineer and the head of the audio sector of OBORO’s new media lab.

His research is concerned with providing a conceptual framework for audio recordings and he also makes sound installations.

Since 1992, he has been preoccupied with the presentation of electronic art, by favoring the notion of "active listening". Since 1993, he has conceived immersive environments as the technical director and/or sound engineer for Mutek: Sound, Music and NewTechnology (2000), The Media Lounge of The Festival international du nouveau cinema et nouveaux medias (1997-8), La 3e Fenetre (1995), and Champ Libre (1993/95).

Claude is the head of the audio sector of OBORO’s new media lab.
