As an educational producer for DEAF2012 I find it very important that students can participate in the festival and that it will appeal to them on their own level. With practical tools/guidelines I hope that the theme and artworks can function as a inspiration for future artists and future research.
I combine my work at DEAF2012 with a master study in decorative arts in Leiden in which I try to combine different disciplines (art history, anthropology and archaeology) as it might reveal interesting connections. Next to that I am involved with with (educational) projects within the artistic field and heritage as a volunteer.
