Their work is a pun which brings together the most primitive system of communications, tapping on the plumbing network, with today’s powerful combination of telephone plus computers. It is also a parody of communication as a plumbing system. 'Strangers tap the night away on a trans-Atlantic plumbing adventure'. (SAI Brochure, 1986)
