Adelbrecht

Adelbrecht

Adelbrecht looks like a plastic ball, but is filled with electronics, sensors and a motor that allows it to move through the space, interacting and talking to what it encounters.

A first version was developed in 1985, a second in 1988, which is shown here. Adelbrecht received an honorable mentioning at the Prix Ars Electronica 1992.

Adelbrecht died before its last performance, December 31, 2000, due to hardware failure.
