A CD-ROM by Australian artist duo Josephine Starrs and Leon Cmielewski, Australia, Dream Kitchen is a playful interactive work which contrasts 3D animation with traditional stop-motion animation techniques.

You are navigating what appears to be a real time kitchen simulation used by architects and interior designers. In fact, the kitchen deteriorates the more attention you pay to it, revealing a "catalogue of dread". Each visit to the kitchen's underworld forces the sparkling kitchen to degenerate.

The CD-ROM has been shown at numerous international media festivals as well as Biomachines, part of the 2000 Adelaide Festival and was a finalist in the Mobius Awards at the Pompidou Centre in Paris in 2000.
