Les Madres

Les Madres by Guadalupe García

As a Mexican high priestess, seated on a throne that was decorated with national and religious symbols, Guadalupe García gave future predictions to unsuspecting passers by.

A spiritual celebration of Mother's day, the images ripe with 'fiesta': celebrations of life and death.

It might be coincidental, that she chose her performance location just opposite the image symbolizing the first radio transmission between the Netherlands and Indonesia.

Or what is coincidence in the work of Guadalupe García?
