Paranoid Panopticum

Hermen Maat: Paranoid Panopticum

Entering this interactive installation you will run across your own fixation on control. Despite possibilities to control the visual, a shift in the perception of reality takes place. Controlling changes into fear of being controlled, maximizing control becomes its own threat. From this moment on it feels as if you are haunted by your own mirrored projections. You will stage your own image in a paradox based on the myth of Echo and Narcissus.
