With artificial life computer animations like Ant City and SIMM Life on CD-ROM, computer animated films by Karl Sims and Jon McCormack, Saul Bass' feature Phase IV in which an ant colony turns out to possess higher intelligence, the classic Der Golem (1920) by Paul Wegener and Carl Boes and the urban jungle road movie Work, Rest and Play (1993) by Alan Robertson and Doug Aubrey.
