Official opening of the V2_ space in Rotterdam.

V2_Organisation opened its new building in Rotterdam on September 16, 1994.
V2_ is located in the old NDU building on the corner of Witte de Withstraat and Eendrachtsstraat, together with Scapino ballet and the Dutch Photo Institute (NFI).
The building was opened with a speech by Paul Kuypers, director of de Balie in Amsterdam, performances by Stelarc and Seiji Shimoda and presentations about ZKM (Karlsruhe), Ars Electronica (Linz), ICC (Tokyo) and the European Media Art Festival in Osnabrück. At the opening, the first website of V2_ (the Internet Corner, part of the VPRO site) was presented.
