This edition of dot.nu sound & image invites visual artist René Beekman (NL) and musician/electronic music expert Xavier van Wersch (NL) to develop a new performance; also included in the program are two videoscreenings.

The third edition of dot.nu sound & image is curated by Xavier van Wersch, and a joint initiative by Paradiso (Amsterdam) and V2_ (Rotterdam). As usual the programme consists of a unique collaborative effort by a musician ("sound director’) and a visual director, exploring the relationship between images and sounds. The collaboration will result in a completely original co-developed image-and-sound performance that is prepared at V2_ in Rotterdam during the week before the presentation.
For this edition of dot.nu sound & image visual artist René Beekman and musician/electronic music expert Xavier van Wersch have been invited to join forces.
In addition to their live performance two videos will be shown in which the relationship with music/sound is the main theme. Silent Movie for a Listening Eye is a new video by English graphic designer Jon Wozencroft. Contemporary Broadcasts is a video compilation of works that relate to British musician Robin Rimbaud, aka Scanner.

De derde editie plaats van dot.nu sound & image is een samenwerkingsverband tussen Paradiso (Amsterdam) en V2_ (Rotterdam). Het programma bestaat als altijd uit een uniek samenwerkingsverband tussen een muzikant ('geluidsregisseur') en een beeldregisseur en gaat nader in op de relatie tussen beeld en geluid. De samenwerking bestaat uit een geheel nieuwe, gezamenlijk te ontwikkelen, beeld- en geluidperformance en wordt in de week voorafgaand aan de uitvoering voorbereid bij V2_ te Rotterdam. Voor deze editie van dot.nu sound & image zijn beeldend kunstenaar René Beekman en muzikant/sonoloog Xavier van Wersch (geluid) uitgenodigd.
Naast dit live-optreden worden er twee video's vertoond, waarbij de relatie tot muziek/geluid het leidende principe is. Silent Movie for a Listening Eye is een nieuwe video gemaakt door de Engelse grafisch ontwerper Jon Wozencroft. Contemporary Broadcasts is een video met werk in relatie tot de Britse muzikant Robin Rimbaud alias Scanner.
