A program about the machine and the interface (Incredible Strange Machines). The relationship between man and machine has always been paradoxical: on the one hand the machine has to liberate us and give us the possibility of self realization and self disposal, on the other we have to sacrifice so much and cater to the machine to such an extent that we feel threatened by it. Therefore the machine has to be virtually invisible and completely adapted to our physical possibilities. The interfacing of man and machine has never before been more prone to design.

Nederlands
