Protei Press Conference
V2_ and the Protei team invite you to come to the press preview and presentation of Protei, an autonomous sailing robot for cleaning up oil spills in the ocean, during the Wereldhavendagen on September 2nd, 2011 in the port of Rotterdam.
Protei version 006
Summer 2011, V2_ formed an international team of engineers and technicians, led by the Franco-Japanese Inventor Cesar Harada. This team worked on Protei, an autonomous sailing drone designed to clean up oil spills in the ocean. The first fully-working prototype will be unveiled in the Protei workshop during the Wereldhavendagen in Rotterdam. It will be exhibited the week after at V2_ as part of the festival Wereld van Witte de With September 9, 10, 11th.
V2_ organizes a preview of Protei for press and guests at Projectruimte Hofman & Zonen (Marconistraat 85, Rotterdam) on Friday, September 2nd, 2011 from 5pm to 7pm. This space is where the team has assembled the prototype for the past few months. Cesar Harada, coordinator of the Protei project, will reveal the prototype and explain the project on this occasion. You will be welcome to examine Protei version 006 closely and you will have the opportunity to ask questions to Cesar Harada and the Protei team.

Marconistraat 85: Coming from Rotterdam Central Station, take tram 21 or 23 towards Holy/Harreweg. Exit at "Rotterdamsedijk". From there it is a 5 minute walk, the entrance of the Projectruimte is at the back.
