The Cocktail of Happy Viruses

Short early evening presentation at DEAF04.

11
Nov 2004
18:00 to 18:30
location: Van Nelle Ontwerpfabriek (Tabaksfabriek, tearoom on the 9th floor)

Nathan Martin will introduce two recent works by the Carbon Defense League - Parasitic Media and Critical Deviant Practice. The key question is how we can create a system that is not a horizontal hierarchy but an ever changing, always rotating, liquid hierarchy; one where host can be continually affected and usurped by parasites in a never ending cycle of power loss. How can we as active members of a host system encourage deviance and, in actuality, our own removal? This will be an open discussion asking for personal and not theoretical discourse.
