Open_Lab

Artists and students that need (technical) support on their projects can attend one of our Open_Lab sessions. Every other month, V2_Lab organizes an afternoon where artists and students can present their work and ask questions to all V2_Lab crew in an informal setting.

How it Works

Anyone who fills in the application form can attend the Open_Lab. When you apply, you are placed on a waiting list. Each time the next three people from the list are invited for a specific session, usually the last Thursday of the month.

Each participant will get 10 minutes to present their project. After that, all people can give feedback and share their knowledge and ideas.

Open_Tools

We try to maintain an open approach to technology - emphasizing modularity, recycling and exchange of knowledge. During artistic research and development projects, the Lab develops many technologies and software/hardware solutions. Whenever possible, the developed materials are made available to artists as "off-the-shelf" products: Open_Tools

Artists and students are invited to visit the Lab and experiment with the available technologies and tools, or to order one of our prototyping kits. Please make an appointment with Boris Debackere.
